By using Quotive you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users — customers checking quotes and businesses sending verified quotes.
Quotive is a price verification and information platform. We provide data-driven verdicts on trade quotes to help users make informed decisions. We are not a regulated financial service, a legal service, a trading standards body, or a dispute resolution service. Our verdicts are informational only and do not constitute professional advice.
Quotive does not guarantee that any verdict is accurate. Market prices change. Regional variations exist. Unusual job specifications may fall outside our data. We use real market data and AI analysis to generate verdicts, but no automated system is perfect. You should use Quotive verdicts as one input in your decision-making, not as the sole basis for any financial or contractual decision.
You must only upload quotes that you have received legitimately — quotes addressed to you or that you have been given permission to check. You must not upload quotes containing personal data of third parties without their consent. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information you provide. Quotive verdicts are based on the data you upload — if that data is incomplete or inaccurate, the verdict may be affected.
By using Quotive as a business you confirm that you have the right to send quotes to the customers you address. You must not use Quotive to send unsolicited communications. You must ensure your business profile information is accurate. You must not attempt to manipulate your Quotive score or badges through dishonest means. Quotive reserves the right to remove any business profile that is found to contain false information. By claiming a business profile and adding a payment method, you authorise Quotive to charge your saved card the applicable booking fee each time you confirm a booking through the platform.
When a business confirms a booking through Quotive, a booking fee is charged automatically to the card on file. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the quoted job value: 1.5% for businesses on the Free profile tier, or 0.75% for businesses on the Verified Business (£29/month) tier. A minimum fee of £5 applies. The maximum fee per booking is £500. By adding a payment method to your Quotive business profile, you explicitly authorise these charges to be made automatically at the point of booking confirmation. No booking fee is charged to customers. The monthly subscription fee of £29 for the Verified Business tier is charged on the date of subscription and on the same date each subsequent month until cancelled. All fees are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Quotive reserves the right to update its fee schedule with 30 days' written notice to active account holders.
When a quote is checked on Quotive, the business named in that quote receives a notification. By using Quotive as a customer you consent to this notification being sent. This notification is a core feature of the service and cannot be disabled. Businesses receiving notifications have not consented to receive them — they are sent because their contact details appeared in a quote submitted by a customer.
By submitting a quote to Quotive you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable licence to use the pricing data within that quote — in anonymised and aggregated form — to improve our market data library. This data is never published in a form that identifies you or the specific quote. It is used solely to improve the accuracy of future verdicts.
The dispute record feature generates a factual record of activity on our platform. This record is provided as a convenience and does not constitute a legal document. Quotive does not verify the accuracy of any information submitted by either party, does not investigate disputes, and cannot act as a witness or provide testimony in any legal proceeding. The record is provided as-is and Quotive accepts no liability for any use made of it.
All content on Quotive — including the verdict algorithm, market data, design, copy, and brand — is owned by Quotive Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission. The Quotive name and logo are trademarks of Quotive Ltd.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quotive Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including any financial loss resulting from a decision made in reliance on a Quotive verdict. Our total liability to you in any circumstances is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months, or £100, whichever is greater.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Quotive at any time if we believe you are in breach of these terms. You may stop using Quotive at any time. Business subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time from their dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify active account holders by email with at least 14 days notice. Continued use of Quotive after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
