Who we are

Quotive is operated by Quotive Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our service allows customers to check trade quotes against real UK market data, and allows businesses to send verified quotes. Our contact email is hello@quotive.uk.

What data we collect

When you check a quote we collect the content of that quote — line items, prices, business name and contact details as they appear in your quote — along with your location if you provide it. If you create an account we collect your email address and name. If you are a business we collect your business name, email, location, trade types, and any proof of business photo you upload. We collect usage data such as which pages you visit and which features you use.

Why we collect it

We use your quote content to generate a price verdict and to build our market data library — the more quotes we check, the more accurate our verdicts become. Individual quotes are never published or attributed to you. We use your email to send you your account code, quote results, and any communications you request. We never send unsolicited marketing emails.

How long we keep it

Quote data is retained indefinitely as part of our anonymised market data library. Your personal account data — email, name, quote history — is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@quotive.uk. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of your request.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We use the following third-party services to operate the platform: Supabase (database and file storage, EU-hosted), Vercel (hosting, US-based with EU data processing agreement), Resend (email delivery), and Anthropic (AI analysis of quote content). Each of these providers processes data only as necessary to provide their service and under data processing agreements.

Business notifications

When a quote is checked on Quotive, the business named in the quote receives a notification email. This email contains the overall verdict and a link to claim their free Quotive profile. It does not contain your personal details. The business email address is taken from the quote you upload — we do not source it independently.

Cookies

We use one session cookie — quotive_session or quotive_business_session — to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential to the service and cannot be disabled while you are logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not display advertisements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights email hello@quotive.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to authenticated server-side processes only. Business proof photos are stored in private Supabase storage buckets. We conduct regular security reviews. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data we will notify you within 72 hours as required by UK GDPR.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify active account holders by email. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Continued use of Quotive after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
